The barge conversion consists of a new steel frame bolted then welded to the original super structure of the barge creating the new dinning areas that make up the restaurant. the original hull houses the new stainless steel 21ft x 14ft commercial kitchen, engine /pump room, cellar, office, original shower room and master bedroom. The barge is clad with english oak to the exterior and has double glazed oak door all round which can be opened during the summer months. it is heated and cooled using inverter air conditioning.
The Converted restaurant barge final trip to Maidstone was under its own engine with no external assistance before being sited at its permanent mooring at the rear of the Archbishops palace.
