"My boyfriend and I went to The Barge Riverside Restaurant for their Valentine's dinner and it really exceeded our expectations. At first, we'd thought thirty three pounds a head to be rather expensive, but we received a welcome drink, two lots of canapes, two starters each, a fish course, a main course, a selection of amazing puddings to share and we didn't even make it to the cheese course as we were so stuffed. Each course was beautifully and imaginatively prepared - not only delicious and interesting to the taste buds but a little work of art in its own right. The chef here really must be something special. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive, and found us a wonderful table overlooking the river at night with the colourful lights over the Ragstone bridge. The evening was thoroughly special and I definitely want to go back another night and sample their regular menu if the Valentine's night was anything to go by. Cannot recommend this place highly enough"!
